A Pegoretti with its history intact
Purchased by its current owner in September 2004, this Marcelo has remained with the same rider throughout its life. It was chosen to be ridden—not stored as an ornament—and has been maintained with unusual consistency and mechanical care.
The frame was refinished to its original specification, preserving the distinctive visual character documented when the bicycle appeared in RIDE magazine. The original Winter 2007 issue accompanies the sale.
It represents a particularly thoughtful expression of Italian road cycling: a celebrated steel frame, Campagnolo Record mechanical equipment and components selected with respect for the bicycle rather than passing fashion.

The bicycle presents exceptionally well for its age. Its limited paint imperfections are small marks consistent with normal use. They have not been disguised and form part of an honest presentation of the bicycle.
Chainsmith has inspected and serviced the bicycle before publication. The frame, braking, shifting and principal mechanical systems have been assessed for sale.
